I was drinking numerous big bottles of Beer Lao in my rude hovel alone. Listening to South East Asian music, and remembering when I was young, roaming the planet, meeting interesting people and getting blasted with them. |

Good stuff. If you are going to rhyme, which you probably shouldn’t, do it towards the end but not at the end or beginning. Still waiting to hear some pain and suffering, and some raw honest thoughts about this hot Cambodian girl.
Wait, that’s it!! I just read your description - THAT’S THE TRUTH AND RAW HONESTY that your poems need. Your description is the poem, your poem a mere wrapper, Next poems, put your description in the poem. |

Dengue Fever
By Wong Lofan
A Cambodian Girl with a voice like a bird
sweetest Chick singing he ever heard
a drunken old man remembers the muddy river
Mekong- her kind, soft, lilting words,
Beer 33, Cambodian red, and a black bamboo bong.
