Mexico in my coffee
LightHouse
10/17/99

Napkin #1:

Just got paid
never get laid
four girls at the bar
they just walked in
I sit drinking Mexican Coffee.

No Einstiens this time
need to let Einstiens ferment
a little bit.

Back to the original
haunt the real place,
the classic Lighthouse.

Claudia still works here
only a few days on the weekend - she
works as an administrative assistant during the week.

Stephanie - new boob job and all
is being promoted
will be behind the bar starting Wednesday
Forgot how much I Love the Lighthouse!

Napkin #2: Wish more wrote bar poetry then I wouldn't be noticed really = I'm not really noticed now. A lost boat with a sail that rotates randomly and the wind decides movement torwards unforeseen destination. Those four girls just returned to the bar after meeting in the ladies room for the last 15 minutes. Napkin #3: God bless Advil. These women dressed to kill. What does "dressed to the nines" mean? One of those bothersome phrases that sound so hurtful to the ear. They're kinda like these Bad Drunken Bar Poems that must resonate fairly disagreeably through the minds of the few of you whom will ever read them. A couple is fighting right in front of me - then there's Carrie. I might be alone but at least I am not trapped in a fight with a love in public. Thank you for these bad Poems Lighthouse. Napkin #4: reserved Napkin #5: Want to know why they think I'm a doctor when I go out - or go to the grocery store? Because my initials are DR = David Ross = a constant reminder of the status I didn't achieve. I took four Advil tonight to avoid tomorrow's headache. This is the first Sunday that has proceeded a day off in a long time. Very uneventful so far but the Bad Poetry is flowing and now the band starts - "Classic Rock" they will play. A Bad Poem about just a regular day. Napkin #6: You can always tell a new band here. Each members parents stand out amongst this under forty crowd. They manage a beer over a few hour period. They are responsible our parents are. They look at me writing this Bad Drunken Bar Poetry and think I'm a music critic from some important place - and they want their kids to do well - to be in a sound place - so they keep looking at them and me. Napkin #7: Drinking Mexican Coffee drinking all day might need to go to AA not what it used to be multiple lonely. My friend Claudia the bar maid is afraid but for respect keeps serving me and I drink until something breaks or gives or leaves or needs. I drink out of utter loneliness, but I always have. I love. Napkin #8: Never been more drunk than I am tonight just be quiet and well behaved. Yet they watch me they have their bouncer watching because no one can drink this much and be so quiet no one can drink all this and sit patient writing poetry. Very Bad Drunken Poetry. DRW
